Wayne Rosenthal

Born: Feb. 19, 1965
The native of Brooklyn, the 6-foot-5 Rosenthal was a big, hard-throwing reliever. Drafted by the Texas Rangers, he made his Major League debut in 1991 for the Rangers, taking over for an injured Rich Gossage. He appeared in 36 games for the Rangers that year, compiling a 1-4 mark with a 5.25 ERA. After pitching in six games for the Rangers in 1992, Rosenthal was sent down, never to return to the big leagues.
