Garrett Stubbs
Catcher
TEAM: Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies
Born: March 26, 1993
An eighth-round draft pick by Houston in 2015, Stubbs was called up to the majors on his 26th birthday, May 26, 2019, after Astros catcher Max Stassi was placed on the injured list. Stubbs played college ball at Southern Cal and won the 2015 Johnny Bench Award as the nation’s best catcher. He was a California League (Single-A) All-Star in 2016, a Texas League (Double-A) All-Star in 2017 and a Pacific Coast League (Triple-A) All-Star in 2018.
