Lou Brower
Shortstop
TEAM: Detroit Tigers
Born: July 1, 1900 - March 4, 1994
As a 31-year-old career minor leaguer, Brower finally saw big-league action as a shortstop with the Detroit Tigers for 22 games during the 1931 season. The Tigers were unspectacular that year and so was Louis. He committed 10 errors in just 20 games and batted an anemic .161. Brower later spent 10 years managing in the minor leagues, mostly for Class D teams in Oklahoma.
