Bubby Rossman
Pitcher
TEAM: Philadelphia Phillies
Born: June 29, 1992
Charles “Bubby” Rossman was a 22nd-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2014. The Dodgers released him from Single-A ball at the end of the season after he was slow to recover from a triceps injury. He spent the next five seasons in independent leagues, including teams in Canada and Mexico.
In 2021 Bubby signed with the Philadelphia Phillies. He made his major-league debut on July 13, 2022 — two weeks after his 30th birthday — when the Phillies called him up for a one-day roster fill-in. With Garrett Stubbs doing the catching for Rossman’s one inning of relief, they became the eighth all-Jewish battery in major-league history.
